Small steps toward beatification
The process for the beatification of the Servant of God Enzo Piccinini continues.
After the closing of the Diocesan Inquest into the life, heroic virtues and reputation for holiness of Enzo Piccinini – “family man and faithful layman,” as he is referred to in the documents of the process – on February 22, 2025, the Acts of the Process were delivered by the President of the Foundation to the Dicastery for the Causes of Saints on March 4, 2025.
Subsequently, I made a request to the same Dicastery to proceed with the opening of the files pertaining to the Diocesan Inquiry, and the same by Decree No. 3386-5/25 gave its placet for the seals to be unsealed and the validity of the same documents to be examined.
On May 20, 2025, I witnessed the opening of the Acts of the Diocesan Inquiry by the Chancellor of the said Dicastery and forwarded the request to study and declare, as soon as possible, the juridical validity of the said Inquiry, where it will be verified that all steps have been carried out correctly and we can proceed with the preparation of the “Positio super virtutibus.”
We pray that this work will recognize the venerability, the heroic virtues of Enzo. Let us continue to pray and spread the beautiful figure of Enzo so that we may soon contemplate him in the ranks of the Blessed.
